R.I.B.S. Media is the first barrier material that uses semi-conductor technology to transform plastics into semiconductor devices capable of protecting even the most sensitive electronic device from both ESD and corrosion damage. It features a carbon layer on one side, and Corrosion Intercept on the opposite side, making it inherently clean, with little ionic contamination and extremely low outgassing. It is a co-extrusion performed under filtered nitrogen ensuring low particulates, low shaving potential and no sloughing.
The 2-sided design makes it one-of-a-kind: the carbon layer absorbs formaldehyde and other organic gases, while the Corrosion Intercept side reacts away and permanently neutralizes the atmospheric pollution. It is designed to not only protect your sensitive components from ESD events, but also designed to clean the trapped air of the harmful corrosive gases that can oxidize and corrode.
